I thought I would share some personal photos of me and my dad since I speak quite a bit about my dad on my blog because we work together. I wrote a post about how dad would take me and my brother to work with him when we were little and how it was always a great day out during school holidays.
Here are some photos from my personal album starting with my wedding. Now my dad is always on time when it comes to meetings or needing to be somewhere. If he is late he always calls. Most times he is the first to arrive before anyone when he has to meet someone. He was so determined to get me to my wedding on time we arrived TWENTY MINUTES early. It was quite funny watching the guests walk down the hill to our church, ringing friends on their phone to say ‘she’s here, the bride is here!’
On the June long weekend in 2009, we organized a family trip to Fiji to celebrate both of my parent’s 50th Birthdays and their 25th Wedding anniversary. My brother had to cancel at the last minute because of work but mum and dad and Jacob and I still went. This photo was taken of Dad and I on a sunset cruise. The cruise and food were kind of ordinary, but the company was not.
The next photo was taken at the Brisbane Convention Centre in the Grand Ballroom where we had booked a table to attend the Construction Skills QLD Excellence Awards where I was nominated for Apprentice of the Year. I didn’t receive the award that I was nominated for, instead I received the Judges Most Outstanding Achiever Award and it was one of the best nights of my (dare I say my dad’s too) life. This photo was taken before the winner was announced. Little did I know as I was drinking champers to celebrate, I was pregnant with Esther.
And this last photo was taken this time last year. Esther is two in this photo and I am 5 months pregnant with Magdalene. This photo was taken by my mum after a big day at work because I needed to send a photo to someone for an article that was written about me.
I’m linking up with Trish from My Little Drummer Boys for Wordless Wednesday. Happy Hump Day Everyone. 🙂
