This Kmart Hack Bath Stool is an easy DIY project you can do on the weekend. It will add style and an additional surface for your beverage or book while soaking in the bath.
I have wanted a bath stool for as long as I can remember. But the price of purchasing one always put me off.
I got creative this weekend and came up with a budget friendly solution.
This Kmart Hack Bath Stool will set you back around $40, although it may be less if you have the screws and brackets already.
Materials
- Wood Serving Platter
- Woven Tripod Stand
- 6 Button Head Timber screws 13mm (available at Bunnings)
- 3 Copper Pipe Brackets 18mm (available at Bunnings)
Instructions
Remove sticker residue from the timber platter. Place it down on a protective surface and position your tripod stand in the middle of the round platter.
Place 3 brackets on the underside to screw the button head timber screws into the timber platter. 13mm is the best length to ensure it doesn’t go through the platter. Also the button heads keep the bracket in place.
Screw each opposite side of brackets and not too tightly in case you need to reposition in the centre. When you’re happy, ensure the screws are drilled all the way in for a firm hold.
Once complete, style it in your bathroom.
